Pitt Trustee John Pelusi Cares Deeply About Student-Athletes’ Lives On and Off the Field University of Pittsburgh alumnus and trustee John Pelusi and his wife, Cathy, have made a commitment of $1.5 million to support the Cathy and John Pelusi Family Life Skills Program for student-athletes.

Pitt to Receive $125 Million Gift from Alumnus, Trustee, and Former Board Chair William S. Dietrich II

Business leader, investor, author, and philanthropist William S. Dietrich II plans to make an historic gift of a $125 million fund in support of the University. It will be the largest individual gift to Pitt in its 225-year history and one of the 10 largest gifts made by an individual to a public university in the United States. Read more »

Pitt Inducts 16 New Members Into Its Brackenridge Circle

The University of Pittsburgh welcomed 16 new members to the Brackenridge Circle—a giving society comprising individuals and couples whose planned gifts and pledges to the University total $1 million or more—during a Nov. 16 awards ceremony.

VanKirk, Harper Move City Law Firms to Support Pitt Law School

Although neither Tom VanKirk nor Robert T. Harper earned their JD degrees from Pitt, the pair has made a remarkable commitment to promote Pitt’s School of Law by launching an initiative that in just 18 months has helped generate nearly $1 million in new philanthropic commitments to the school.
