Sean Dean joined the Pitt Annual Fund in 2001. As the Director of Annual Programs, Sean oversees all aspects of the annual programs operation including the telefundraising and direct mail divisions. Sean received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Pennsylvania State University.
Joseph Junker

Joseph Junker oversees the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of all tele-fundraising solicitation programs as well as the Faculty and Staff Campaign activities in the Department of Annual Programs.
Joe began working for Institutional Advancement in June of 1997, as a student employee while perusing his B.A. in Communication Studies. Joe interned for Pitt’s Regional Campaign and worked as an interim Administrative Assistant prior to joining the Annual Fund in June of 2001. Joe officially began his professional career as the Day Supervisor of the Pitt TeleFund. He was then promoted the Manager of Annual Programs and over saw the Faculty and Staff Campaign as well as the direct mail program. Joe was then promoted to the Associate Director of Annual Programs taking on student and young alumni philanthropic initiatives. In January 2007 Joe became the Director of the Pitt TeleFund. Joe is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Marjorie Johnson

Marjorie has been a member of the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation team since 2004. As direct mail manager, Marjorie creates, implements, and tracks focused direct mail solicitations for the six health science schools of the University of Pittsburgh as well as the hospitals that are part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Marjorie’s prior experience includes overseeing direct mail programs for the United Way, as well as research, marketing, and sales in the broadcast industry. Marjorie holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Pittsburgh.
Rachel Mangini

Rachel Mangini joined the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation in 2007. As development associate, Rachel manages written, electronic, and phone communications with annual contributors to the six health science schools of the University of Pittsburgh as well as the hospitals that are part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). She is the primary point of contact for the foundation’s Health Discovery Series. Prior to moving from Boston to Pittsburgh, she worked as a development assistant at the Wellesley Centers for Women. Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College.
