Andrew B. Kovalcik

Andrew B. Kovalcik was recruited back to the University in 2007 to serve in the newly created role as Director of University Corporate Relations overseeing corporate fundraising activities for the Provost Area schools, with a concentration supporting multidisciplinary research centers. Prior, he served as the Director of Development for Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus and as Executive Director of Development for the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business within the University of Pittsburgh. Andrew also has nearly ten years of industry experience. He served as a Regional Sales Manager for Gundlach generating sales of capital equipment and engineering services to the mining, power, cement and steel industries. He also served as a Staff Geologist for Almes & Associates, Consulting Engineers with experience on a wide range of geologic, hydrogeologic, geotechnical and investigative engineering projects associated with the solid waste, mining, steel and manufacturing industries. Andrew has a BS in Earth Science/Geology from the Pennsylvania State University and completed the MBA Essentials program through the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.

Joyce Raught

Joyce Raught joined the University of Pittsburgh’s Office of Institutional Advancement in 1995, where she has remained for the past 12 years. In her current capacity as Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Ms. Raught helps coordinate the entire grant seeking process for many of the University’s schools—including facilitating relationships with local and national foundations, writing and editing proposals, and providing assistance with post-award stewardship activities.

Jasmine Gosa Hoffman

A native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Jasmine Gosa Hoffman graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in communications in 2004. Jasmine currently serves as the public relations manager for the University of Pittsburgh’s Office of Institutional Advancement, where she is responsible for the marketing and communications initiatives for the University’s $2 billion fundraising campaign. She is a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, where she serves on the Board of Directors. Jasmine also attends the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. She is pursuing an M.B.A. with a concentration in marketing. 

Brittney Gillison

Brittney Gillison is a fresh face to the Office of Institutional Advancement team. She brings with her experience from Mullen, where she was an Assistant Account Executive in the public relations department, and completed internships at Ketchum and Ten United.

As the Public Relations Coordinator, she supports the communications and marketing program for the University's $2 billion fundraising campaign.

Kellie S. Anderson

Executive Director, Central Development

Kellie S. Anderson is executive director, central development for the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation, which serves as the fundraising entity for the six health science schools of the University of Pittsburgh as well as the hospitals that are part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). She has nearly 20 years of fundraising experience in both the healthcare and academic settings and has been a member of the University's development team since 1999. In addition to corporate and foundation relations, Kellie has held leadership positions in the areas of annual fund, major gifts and donor relations. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Allegheny College and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mary Kate MacKenzie

Assistant Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations

Mary Kate MacKenzie is the assistant director, corporate and foundation relations for the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation. Together with the Director, she manages relationships with local and national foundations interested in funding facult and clinician projects at the University of Pittsburgh's six health science schools, UPMC, and affiliated institutions. Mary Kate has a strong background in non-profit fundraising communications and marketing campaigns and began her career as a freelance copywriter and journalist writing for regional publications and corporate organizations. Mary Kate has a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science from National Louis University. She has been with the foundation since 2005 and is on track to receive her Masters in Public Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh in April '09.

Megan C. Greenawalt

Megan C. Greenawalt is the corporate relations officer for the Medical
and Health Sciences Foundation, specializing in fundraising and
relationships with internal and external constituents. Megan has worked
in development at the University of Pittsburgh for almost ten years, and
has a unique understanding of fundraising from the front lines and
behind the scenes, including work in corporate and foundation relations,
alumni relations, donor relations, and executive communications. Megan
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing and a Masters in
Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of the
Network of Academic Corporate Relations Officers (NACRO) and the Council
for the Advancement and Support of Higher Education (CASE).

Amelia MacRae

Corporate and Foundation Relations Associate

Amelia MacRae is the corporate and foundation relations associate for
the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation. Amelia works closely with
both the corporate and foundation sides of the department assisting
their fundraising efforts. She has been with the Medical and Health
Sciences foundation since 2007 and is currently a graduate student at
the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs obtaining her
Master of Public Administration with a major in public and nonprofit
management.
