Project Paw Print

Project Paw Print, led by Pitt students, raises awareness and funds for the University of Pittsburgh by educating students on the importance of philanthropy, supporting student fundraising initiatives, and acknowledging donors who give to Pitt.

CLASS GIVING

Each spring, graduating seniors are encouraged to “make their mark at Pitt” by making a gift to Pitt as they transition to their new roles as Pitt alumni.  Past class giving campaigns have supported the Senior Legacy Student Resource Fund (SLSRF), which provides grants to Pitt students for books, lab fees, travel and other educational expenses.

PITT DAY OF GIVING

Pitt student organizations are encouraged to participate in the Pitt Day of Giving, held each year on Pitt’s Founders’ Day—February 28. The one-day University-wide fundraising campaign is driven by online challenges which are shared on social media, tracked on the website leaderboards, and at the end of the day, award additional funding to those schools, campus groups, and student organizations that attract the most donor support.  Nearly one in ten donors on Pitt Day of Giving was as a Pitt student, and their generosity has helped top student organizations win additional funding.
