Project Paw Print

Project Paw Print is a group of Pitt student volunteers who are spreading the word on campus about the importance of giving back to Pitt.  Last year, 22,255 alumni donated more than $36 million to Pitt in support of student scholarships, academic programs, and facilities like the Petersen Events Center and Nordenberg Hall.  They didn’t just invest in the University, they invested in you.

“Students need to know how much they benefit from the generosity of Pitt friends and alumni.  It’s an awesome community of supporters that we should all be a part of.  Making a gift of any size to Pitt shows that you appreciate the great student experience you’re having and gets you ready to be an alum who wants to pay it forward.”  Sierra Smith, Pitt Class of 2017

As a student, you have the power to pay it forward by making a gift, joining the Project Paw Print team, or attending our events.

Senior Class Gift

The Class of 2016 made the first ever senior class gift to Pitt. Together, 500 students, parents, alumni, and friends raised more than $10,000 and established the Senior Legacy Student Resource Fund, which will help pay for books, lab fees, travel, and other educational expenses for future Pitt undergrads.

Pitt TAG Day / November 2, 2016

On Wednesday, November 2, giant bright gold banners will pop up all over campus to show some of the most tangible ways donors have enriched the University. To be sure students are really taking note of how important philanthropy is to Pitt, they’re going to be eligible to win prizes if they help spread the word by posting pics of the tags on social media.

Why November 2? Because that’s the point in the academic year when tuition stops paying for a student’s education and for the remainder of the year, donor contributions help to make a Pitt education possible.
