Matching Gift Programs
Many employers will match your donation to Pitt, thereby increasing your contribution to the University. Contact the Human Resources department at your workplace to get more information on the options they offer. While each company has its own procedure, oftentimes the process includes these easy steps:
- You request a Matching Gift Form from your company.
- You complete the form and send it to Pitt with your gift.
- Pitt will verify the gift information and return it to your employer.
- Your employer issues a matching gift contribution to Pitt.

For Federal Government Employees
The University of Pittsburgh is now an eligible beneficiary for the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign. During the CFC’s annual campaign which runs September 1 through December 15, federal employees, including federal, civilian, postal, and military donors can designate Pitt as the recipient of their campaign gift by using the organization code 24535. Some employers help make it easy for you to support institutions like Pitt through automatic payroll deductions and participation in programs like the United Way, which pools fundraising efforts through workplace campaigns that support various non-profit organizations, including the University of Pittsburgh.
