Honors College


The University Honors College was established in 1986 to meet the special academic and extracurricular needs of Pitt’s most able, motivated, and inquisitive undergraduate students. 

This unique and dynamic community of scholars undertake advanced coursework, pursue special research projects, engage in diverse interdisciplinary work, frequently pursue multiple majors, and oftentimes go on to earn a Bachelor of Philosophy (BPhil), the prestigious University-wide, research-based degree.

By making a gift to the University Honors College you are supporting students who possess unusual talent, curiosity, and drive.  Your contribution will help provide them with a highly stimulating education and a congenial community that will foster their scholarly development.
