Pitt’s University Library System provides a wealth of information and services to the faculty, student, staff, administrators, and researchers. It includes 15 libraries and collections and holds more than 6.4 million volumes and numerous specialized collections.  It is the 22nd-largest academic library system in North America. 

Contributions to the University Library system ensure that Pitt will contine to provide the best possible learning opportunities and most comprehensive information resources to students, faculty, staff and the greater community.

Giving Priorities

Make a gift to one of the funds listed below:

Library General Gifts:  Contributions to this fund will allow the University Librarian to fund library priorities including collection support, digitization efforts, preservation needs and addressing library space needs.  This fund gives the library administration the flexibility with which to address the ever-changing needs of the library users.

Book Fund: This fund is used to purchase monographs, serials and archival and special collections to support the academic priorities of the University.

Honorary and Memorial Gifts

You may now make a gift in honor or memory of a friend, colleague, or loved one by completing the "Additional Information" fields of either our Online Giving form or our Mail-In Giving form.  The library will plate a book in one of our libraries in their name.  There is a $50 minimum donation for the honor and memorial gifts.
