Endowed Scholarships
at the University of Pittsburgh
Endowed scholarships can be named and will provide a permanent means for the University to continue recruiting students of exceptional accomplishment and promise on a local and national level. The Blue and Gold Endowed Scholarship Fund is the general fund from which all unrestricted scholarships are provided. Gifts to this fund allow the University maximum flexibility to direct financial aid to our most deserving students.
Building Pitt’s Future Resources for Students
You can help the University of Pittsburgh support its students by considering the following named scholarship options through the Blue and Gold Endowed Scholarship Fund:
Chancellor’s Scholarship: $1 million
Full tuition, room and board for a select group of students who have already proven to be tomorrow’s leaders.
Honors Scholarship: $500,000 - $999,999
Provides full tuition based primarily on academic achievement in high school and entrance exams, with the goal of promoting campus diversity.
Cathedral of Learning Scholarship: $250,000 -$499,999
This endowed scholarship fund provides tuition assistance based on need or merit.
Brackenridge Founders Scholarship: $50,000 -$299,999
This endowed scholarship fund provides tuition assistance based on need or merit.
Blue and Gold Current Scholarship Fund
Current scholarship gifts allow the maximum immediate cash to be allocated for tuition, room and board or other student expenses. Donors who commit to funding expendable scholarships of at least $2,500for a minimum of four years will be recognized with the funds being named in their honor.
